BENEVOLENT SOCIETY.
An adjourned meeting of the North Wairarapa Benevolent Society was held this (Wednesday) morning, there boing present Messrs R. M. Galloway (chairman),W. and S. E. Capper.
The minutes of the previous jesting were read and connrmf4Mnd correspondence inward and *%ard dealt with. V
Three police reports on various cases were presented and oonsidered. In the matter of the man Smith, of Alfred ton, who is in possession of a deferred payment section, it was resolved to discontinue the temporary relief granted. Jtwos resolved to bring about an immediate settlement in the estate of Mrs Clifton, as tho society was paying for tho support of hor children.
The removal of three casual oases to their own districts was confirmed.
Regular cases were considered and ordered to be continued until next meeting. A nuirber of now cases were also added to the list of those receiving charitable relief. Sundry accounts were passed for payment and the meeting adjourned.
