HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
The monthly meeting of the Masterton Hospital Trustees was held in the Institute yesterday, there being present Messrs J. C. Boddington (Chairman), J. B. Keith and G. S. W. Dalrymple. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The Treasurer reported receipts for the month amounting to £74 18s 3d, and a credit balance of £lB9 8s Id. The hospital diary was read, The following accounts were passed for payment:—M. Caselbsnr and Co. £1 12"s 6d, W. J. Laukshear £l, J. Williams £3 4s, Chamberlain Bros. £1 12s 7d, W. Perry £3 Is lsd, G. Johnston £o 10s Bd, C. Collier 10s 6d, E. H. Eton, £o 2s 3d, W. Sellar £3 14s 3d. The Custodian reported that five patients had been admitted during the month. There were six patients remaining in the institution. The Custodian wrote, with reference to the report of Dr Macgregor, stating that Mrs Williams was assisting him materially in the hospital. He requested that the Trustees appoint her as nurse. Dr Hosking also wrote, strongly recommending the appointment of Mrs Williams, as she was a thoroughly efficient nurse. On the motion of the Chairman it was resolved that the appointment be made. The Rev W. E. Paige wrote, tendering his resignation as a Trustee. The Chairman remarked that the Rev Mr Paige had always been found an energetic, earnest, and useful member of the Trustees. They could noo well afford to lose his services, and he would therefore moye that Mr Paige be asked to re-consider his decision. Mr J. B. Keith seconded.—Carried
The accounts of patients were then gone into, and the meeting adjourned.
