WESLEYAN CHURCH.
The circuit quarterly meeting of the Masterton Wesleyan Church was held last night, when there wasjagoorl attendance of officials. Owing to a vigorous effort " "being £o reduce trust liabilities the Stipend Fund' was about Lll short on the quarter, but as the subscriptions were not all in, it is hoped that this will be considerably reduced. Ji jvas felt all round that the' plan of systematic giving, if adopted by the congregations, would easily make up the stipend and relieve the minister of any financial pressure, ttjention was made re the present large congregations, and a spirit of hopefulness prevailed. The Hev, J. Dukes was) unanimously invited to remain in the circuit another year. The invitatiop was accepted.
