The Masher gained first priae in Masterton in 1*8:3 also Mr Lawrence's special of £5 for the best foal by Lord Nelson, and in 1886 he gained first at Carterton. It is needless to say any more as the above named horses were so well and favorably known in the Wairaiapa, is in tself a sufficient guarantee to breeders. The Masher will travel to Greytown on Tuesdays and Masterton on Thursdays, and the rest of the week at his owner's stables, Park Road, Carterton.
