[to the editor.] Sib, —In your issue of yesterday it is stated "that the price of bread in Invercargill has risen from 6d to 7d for a 41b loafbut here it is 8d; in Wellington it is advertised at 5d for cash. Will the bakers in Masterton give us a satisfactory explanation of this anomaly? In other places co-operative bakeries have soon brought the bikers to be satisfied with legitimate profits. They will do so here unless the bakers are wise in time and redijce the price.
