EKETAHUNA RIFLE CLUB.
Ainual Ueetis*
The annual meeting of the above Club was held in Mr F. D. Pelling's Club Hotel on Saturday evening, Mr F. "Von Redin, President of the OluW, occupying the cbair. Mr W. A. Bowse, Secretary to the Club, read the report and balance sheet, which was very satisfactory. The Club opened last year with 16 paid up members, and closed the Beason with a credit balance of £1 lis 7d. After the adoption of the report the following officers were elected for the ensuing year: President, F. Von Redin esq., re-elected; Vice Presidents, Messrs J. Joms and T. Parsons, re-elected; Captain, W. A. Rowse ; Secretary W. A. Rowse ; Treasurer, A. H. Herbert; Committee, all officers and F. Bright, W. Woolf, W. G. Wateratone. The Club regretted that Mr Woolf, the retiring captain, was uncertain of his movements.
The following new members were elected: —Messrs Mowbray, Godfrey, F. C Tumor, J. Palling, F. Dowsett, T, Priest, J. S. Kimer and S, Benton. It was decided to try and procure two or three Martini Henri rifles. The season will open in about a fortnight with a competition for a pair of handsome vases presented by Mrs Parsons.
