"Wairarapa Racing Club

The programme of the meeting to be held by the above Club on January Ist and 2nd has been issued. The total amount of the stakes is £823 for the first day and £2BO for the second. The following are the events: —

First Day.—Hurdle Handicap, of 40 sovs, If miles; Hack Hurdle Handicap, of 22 sovs, 1£ miles; Flying Handicap, of 85 sovs, about six furlongs; Hack Handicap, of 15 sovs, about six furlongs ; Wairarapa Cup, of 100 sots, H miles; Hack Handicap, of 25 sovs, li miles; Welter Handicap, of 45 sovs, one mile.

Second Day.—Second Hurdle Handicap, of 45 sovs, 2 miles; Second Hack Hurdle Handicap, of 25 sovs, H miles; fauherenikau Stakes Handicap, of 40 sovs, seven furlongs; Second Hack Handicap, of 20 sevs, one mile and a distance; Wellington Racing Club's Handicap, of 65 sovs, 1} miles; Hack Forced Handicap, of 15 sovs, about half a mile; Open Forced Handicap, of 80 sovs, one mile and a distance.
