10 stand tliis season the Purebred Stallion Ths Masher is a beautiful dark bay, with blaek points, has immense bone, and plenty of hair, is extremely good-tempered, and has splendid style and action, bred by Mr R. Dagg, Masterton, and is out of his prize mare Grace, by Lord Nelson. Grace cut of Jenny, by Young Prince Charley. Jenny was bred by Mr A. Coc'iburn, Manaia, and is out of Jess by Young Lofty, Grace was only exhibited once when she gained first as a two year old. Jenney Masher's grand dam was only exhibited three times, gaining three first and two special prizes. Lord Nelson was wellknown to breeders in the 'Wairarapa, and gained many honours in the show ring, not only here, but in the South Island. The Masher gained first prize in Masterton in 188 a also Mr Lawrence's special of £5 for the best foal by Lord NeUon, and in 1886 he gained first at Carterton. It is needless to say any more as the abore named horses were so well and favorably known in thcWairaiapa, is in itself a aufficient guarantee to breeders. The Masher will travel to Greytown on Tuesdays and Masterton on Thursdays, and the rest of the week at his owner's stables, Park Road, Carterton.
