Cassirellaunus' sire Caractaeus won the Derby at Epsom in 1862, and his dam Campanile, is a daughter of the emperor of stallions, Stoekwell. Fair Agnes, the dam of Master Agnes, is a daughter of the imported hay Middleten horse St Aubjn, and is out of Pboebe, the material ancestress of so many good horses including Pinfire's dsm, Queen of tbt South, Para"Whenua's dam, Countess, Mata's dam, Raupo; WoWerine's dam, Tangi, and Sinking Fund who ran a dead heat with Mat* for the Dunedin Cup of 1870. Phoebe was a daughter of the King of Australian sires, Sir Heresies. Fair Agnes in addition to Muster Agnes, has thrown another good hurdle racer in Magnesia and a fairish sprinter in St Agnes, Rose A'Bouheur and her sons. As a two year eld Master Agnes won the Spring Nursery Handicap at the C.J.O. Metropolitan Meeting and he followed this PP by getting home in front of a field of five in the Two year old Handicap, but was disqualified on the ground of a cross. At the C.J.C. Autumn Meeting he ran third te Water Nymph and Sir Belvidcre In the Champagne Stakes. TKKMS—Single Mares, £5 ss. Groomage Fee, ss. Two or moje Mnres as per agreement. Payment by Promisory Note signed first service, due 21st January, 1892. Grazing in <;ood paddocks free until notice, afterwards 2s 6d a week. Every care taken, but no responsibility incurred.
