RABBIT BOARD.
The monthly meeting of the North Wairarapa Rabbit Board was held yesterday. Present: Messrs Beetham (Chairman), Maunsell, Groves junr., Murray, F. Moore, and Inspector Drummond.
Inward and outward correspondence was read.
Accounts amounting to £lsl 9s 6d were pawed for payment. The question of the payment of Overseers for Sunday work was discussed, but was adjourned to enable .enquiries being made into the circumstances which led to such work being done. The Secretary was instructed to sue certain defaulters for aneaw of rates. It was resol?ed that the services of two Overseers be retained for another month, the overseers to be chosen by Inspectors Mackay and Drummond. It was decided to consult the solicitor of the Board re the collection of the last instalment of rate on the old Stockowners' List or the new list. The report of the Inspector was read, and the meeting adjourned.
