The following team will represent Opaki in a match whh Eketaliuna to be played on the Workiop road ground on Saturday next: — U. Hardwood, E. Holmwood, A. He Lnwood, T. Welch, Mundy, 0. Holmwood, T. Kerable, J. and C. Bannister, F. and W. Day, G. and W. Welch, Ku turner, and Boulcott. Emergencies—H. Welch and Parkinson.
Arrangements are being made to hold a costume football match ii: aid of the newly formed Cricket Club in Masterton on Saturday next.
It is expected that the match between the Wellington and Wairarapa representatives will not be played this season.
Th 3 medals presented to the Masterton Football Club have beeu awarded as follows For the best back player in the Club for the season, Mr A. D'Arcy; for the best forward, the voting was a tie between Messrs R. Gray and W. Watson, the former generously resigning in favour of the latter; for the most useful player Messrs W. Day and W. Watson tied, the latter resigning iu favour of the former. The medals, which are now on view in the window of Mr A. Henderson, watchmaker, are to be presented at the smoke concert on Wednesday evening.
