MEETING OF CREDITORS.
Estate of "W. BnuuiigHi. A meeting of creditors in the estate of William Brannigan, batcher, of Alfred ton, was held in the old Courtroom Hasterton, this morning, the Deputy-Official Assignee (Mr W. B. Ghennella) presiding. About a dozen creditors, the majority of whom hailed from Eketabuna, were present, . The debtor, on oath, stated; I. was adjudged a bankrupt on the 4 sth of this month. The statement filed does not include the whole of my creditors. I forgot to include certain creditors, I inserted the whole of my property - in my statement with the exception of a trap, which is at Mauriceville, and is worth £l2, tnd eight pigs of the value of £B. I did not put the pigs down in the statement because I wanted the money to file withal got the money with which to file from Mr C, J. Trapp and others whose' names I cannot remember. I incurred the debt of £l5O to Mr Jeneß, of Eketabuna, some time ago. I hare been dealing with Mr Jones and hare pad him monies. The liability of £144 toMorgan Sheehyn is for eattle. These were bought about three months ago. The transaction was to hare been a cash one, the\ money to be paid in a month, I expected to pay the money when I made the purchase out of profits from my business. I sold the bulk of the cattle a little while after I got (km for £BO. With this amount I paid several email debts, The cattle were sold by Messrs Lowes andlorns a few days after I bought them. Out of the £BO I received, I paid Mr Jessen, of Mauriceville, £lO. The £BO was . paid into the Bank of New Zealand, and I kept two business books. These do not show the monies received, I kepc no cash book. When I bought the cattle from Sheehyn i intended to keep them, but I could not do so. I bad no place to was renting Lawrence cattle with money. Mr me at Alfredton. HerflF cutting and packing, certain wages, and £l9 out of* "«£ of £3O he bad lent me. I hTm out of the money I got for the cattle.\, - I can show the aotual time Oarnell was working for me. Benton, who is a wasjes creditor of £49, is not a relative of mine. He is a brother-in-law to my brother. He put up two sheds for me. The valud of the land on which Mr. Hall has a mortgage 1b £950. Fifty-two acres of the 296 are unincumbered and are improved. It would not be likely to sell apart from' 1 thd other. : I am leasing a section 1 fVbro Mr. Befrton* but have left' the agreement in Alfredton. Tho section contains ninety-seven acres, about twelve acres of which are felled. I have bad
