Akitec Road Board.

A meeting of the Board was held on Thursday last. Present :—-Messrs Handyside, Armstrong, Burling, Liverton and Foreman. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. The Treasurer reported the balance in Bank to be £14510s Id. A letter was read from the AuditorGeneral re vigilance of members in the matter of rates collected. Accounts amounting to £ll 13s Id were passed | for payment. It was resolved that notice be given of the intention of the Board at its next meeting to be held on the 17th September to strike a general rate of one half-penny in the £ on all rateable property in the district.
