BANKRUPTCY.
Estate of IStar SUzafcotli Sodgias. A meeting of creditors in the estate of Mary Elizabeth Hodgins, fruiterer, of Masterton, was to have been held at noon to day, but lapsed for want of a quorum. In answer to the Deputy Official Assignee the debtor said: The statement produced is as near as I can tell correct. I have been in business two and a-half years. At first it was fairly good, but latterly it fell off, and the cause of my filing was on account of pressure by Aulsebrook and Go. Thornton threatened to summons, and Newbury also, whilst Thomas and ! Co., threatened proceedings. I bought the goodwill of the business from Mrs Preston, but cannot say the amount paid, as Mr Buckeridge completed the purchase. I hive kept no books at all but have had a banking account. For the past eight or ten months the business has been very bad, and I still held on, thinking it might improve. The debts have been contracted from time to time, I have paid off amountß at different times when I could. I have given up everything and have no offer to make.
