Evening Classes and Knights of Labour.
(To the Editor), Sir, —I have to apologise to you and your readers for not having kept you an courant with respect to the proposed establishment of evening classes under the auspices of the Knights of Labour. As the spread of education is a subject quite independent of political party feeling, the movement will have your sympathy and support, lam sure. You will therefore be pleased to learn that the proposal was well received and is to be finally considered at the meeting of the Emght3 of Labour next Saturday evening, when a good attendance of the members of the Association desiring evening classes may be expected. In conclusion I may state that unavoidable circumstances alone prevented me from communicating particulars earlier to you. I am, etc, G. HIRSOH. Masterton, Ist August, 1891.
