A scratch football match between teams representing the Masterton and Bed Stars and Te Ore Clubs was played on the Worksop road ground on Saturday, resulting in a win for the former by six points to four.

The Pioneers were defeated by the Selwyns on Saturday by four points to nil. W. Thompson obtained a try, and R. Jackson got a mark from which Parker kicked a goal.
