Mr. McGuire, said the Government were considering means to do away with the injustice now existing in respect to divisional fencing between European and Native lands. • HIGH SCHOOL INBPEOTION. The Minister of Education informed Mr. Fish that the InspectorGeneral does make an annual inspection of secondary schools. fish oh! Replying to Mr Fish, the Minister of Lands said the importation of salmon ova was very expensive, and the Government had decided to wait, . another year to see if the ova already imported had produced any live salmon.
POSTAL CLASSIFICATION. The Canterbury Society of Arts' Reserve Act 1889 Extension Bill (Mr Perceval), and the Auckland fiarbor Board Empowering Bill were read a second time.
Se«ond Readings. Sir George Grey's Law Practitioners* Bill waß read a second time. The Private Sohoolsßill was also read a second time after a long discussion.
