Stook Salo Report.
Notwithstanding the depths of winter, and severity of weather xxpm teed and stock, the sales although small are characterised by continued good demand and prices favourable to the vendor. Yesterday's salo was no exception, both cattle and sheep meeting with very good enquiry :
Sheep—Fat cross-bred, 15s Id and 14s 6d ; fat ewes, from 18s 5d to 14s 6d; ewes in lamb, 10s 6d, lis 6d, 12b, and 12s 6d.
Cattle—Fat heifers and cows, 75s to 85s ; steers, light weights, 85s and 90s ) dairy cows, 70s to 80s; young cattle from 29s to 355; calves, 225. Horses—Home mares were entered, dHJfi|M|B&h £BO was bid they did tbe reserves. Pios —Suckers 5s to 7s 6d. Stock Markets. Freeman R. Jackson and Co's Johnsonville stock report:—Cattle in average supply. Those of good quality retained their value, but coarse sorts though weighing well, made no more than 14s the 10016s. Cow beef firm at ISs. Fat sheep remain on a par with recent sales. For store pigs the demand is weaker, but well fed porker baconers a:e of ready sale at unaltered <ir rates.
