Suspeotad Infanticide la Ohristchuroh. Christohubch, July 12. flfl The body of a male child just born, was on Saturday afternoon found on a rubbish heap on the premises at the North Belt, Christohurch, occupied ' '■. by Mr Amos, tinsmith. His f daughter Mtry Jane, aged 22, was found ill in bed, having recently been confined. The child's body has been removed to the police depot, where the inquest began thu morning. Mr Fender stated that the girl had confessed to Dr Ovenden that she was the mother of the child. Tbe inquest was adjourned -till Friday. Meanwhile the girlhadggfnremoved to the hospital for Ovenden and post mortem examination, found the child had breathed but not been properly treated, the umbilical cord having been broken. TIMABU, July 11. At a meeting ot tho Committee of the Timaru A. and P.
