THE FARMERS' ALLIANCE.
A meeting of the Provisional Directors of the Co-operative and Farmers' Alliance (Lt.) was held on Thursday last at Wellington, Mr in the chair. The Httnpal business before the meeting Mr Whitcombe's motion to "register the Company forthwith. This was unanimously agreed to. The Secretary leported that the shares were being well subscribed for, and that he had received assuring re« ports from the agents in the country. The directors considered this satis - factory, ard requested the Secretary to obtain full reports from the agents J*±i laid before next meeting. The meeting discussed the wishes of the shareholders to at once commence^ operations. This was agreed to, bu before doing anything suitabl premises would be looked for and / other trrangements made. Further [ discussion was adjourned until next ! meeting to be held this day fortnight. The Chairman reported the result of his meeting with the members of the West Coast Association, and it was resolved that he should write to the Secretary of the West Coast Association and arrange a meeting for fan early day and complete arrangeHants and report to next meeting. of Association was then Signed and the meeting adjourned.
