EKETAHUNA.
(Prom Our Own Correspondent'
Several new buildings are in course of erection in the township of Eketahuna. Mr 0, B. Brenmuhl is com pleting extensive premises at the junction of the Alfredton road. I hear, too, that Mr H. Aulin has purchased a corner section in the , township, and is about to erect a large store thereon.
Parkville sterns also to be making great strides. Looking from here, how buildings can be seen going up in all directions.
The town of Newman is improving greatly. BailHings there are goiag up, gardens are being formed in front of the houses, and tho land is being cleared and fenced. Altogether I should say tbat in the near fcture Newman will be the garden of the Forty-mile Bush. The Salvation Army are booming along. They seem to attract all the strangers from the roads to their meetinga, including the hoodlums. By the byithe larrikins of Eketabnny are a jovial set, very fond of noise, jokes, -&c. But unlike the town larrikins, there id no vice or mischief iu tr-eni.
