Upper Taueru Road Board.

The ordinary meeting was held on June 6th, 1891. Present, Messrs Cockburn-Hood, Macfiae, Rutherford Miller and Perry, Mr Cockburu Heod waa, ag»ift elected Chairrcan,

The minutes, of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. COBRESPONEBNCE.

From Harry Mori ey, asking for his wages to be paid to Mr Coates, of Wellington. From Wairarapa North Gou,aty Council, requesting the returns of the receipts and, expenditure of the Board for the year ending 81st March, 1891. .-■,.;.

From; C K Bremner, drawing attention of the Board to the necessity of placing a culvert in the water channel at the junction or the district roads with the main line at Maori Garden^, From J. Rutherford, re the state of the formed road between Messrs McKay and Johnston. .

From F. A. Hoakjng, requesting that the scrub be felled along the Branch road from the Wangachu. From T. P. Girdwood, enclosing cheque for rateß. From Sharp and sons, Nelson, enclosing P.NV for rates. -. Resolved. That the roadmen be instructed to put in a culvert at the junction of the district ro«id with the main line at Maori Gardens, and also to put in culverts where necessary, on the road between. Messrs, McKay and Johnston. That the Board at present have no funds to fall the sarub as requested by Mr F. A.
