Auckland, June 12

A meeting of shareholders in the Kaihu Yall9yf Railway -Company (in liquidation) was held to-day. Only four shareholders were present, and Mr H. Brett presided.. The report of the liquidators says:—«• All the efforts of your liquidators to sell the railway have proved futile, and your liquidators regret to have to report that they are afraid that the line and "works,* which cost the Company npwdSfe of £BO,OOO, will not realise the amount' doe to the Government; viz., £47,000, and , the arrears of interest." -After a lengthy and recriminatory discussion as to some shareholders paying calls in full and others in 'part, the meeting adjourned till Monday. '
