Settlement of the Difficulty.

To-day the Hons Messrs Seddon and McKenzie met Messrs Wilson and Scott, and the difficulty concerning the Lake Brunner deviation of the Midland Railway, was finally sattled, Mr Heddon agreeing to recommend the Governor to assent to the deviation on the terms settled by telegrams between the parties. The Minister said they intended making the mining reserves of 25,000 acres before permitting the company to deal with small areas of their land grant, but these reserves would be made at once. The Ministers left for Wellington tli>B evening.
