WOMAN.
Eight hours work, eight hours Bleep, eight hours play, that is tho cry of the mechanic of to day. We, however, have no sympathy with such cries, we do not believe in men who want to work but eight hours and keep their butchers, bakers, aiid grocers, chemists and eyen wives at work from twelve to sixteen hours daily. Wives' lives now-a-days are too frequently lives of drudgery, up at 5 a.m. to get her husband's breakfast, then children to wash and despatch to school, then dinner to prepare, and so on to ten at night, one continual round of work, wash and worry. Is it any wonder that they are prone to early decay and premature physical decline ? Is it to b6 expected that they would be spoci-Jly susceptible to antenna, indigestion, liver complaint and headaches. Their mode of life and lung hours indoors is almost sure to induce such diseases. On account of the duties nature has imposed upon the fair sex, great care should be taken of tholr physical health ; ou the first approach of weakness or debility of any kind, a course of Clements Tonic should be .aken. For female complaints Clements Toaio is a specific, it regulates the several functions of the organs of importance, it the blood, nerves, heart and brain. It fortifies tb.3 system against disease by enriching the blood with its natural constituents to repair the waste and loss sustaine." through th« various changes of condition the female life experiences. Clemeni'Tonic should be taken at all critica* timHS ; as it contains the material essential io the female physical organism it must be effective. Of this therd is no doubt; Mrs E. 0. McCarthy, Weci Maitland, N.S.W., writes :—Auguit l'Jth, 1889. Dear Mr Clements,—l address you thus familiarly because I consider you a brother and a frierJ, although I never met you. I havo s*.' fered excruciatiug agony from nervi ..i toothache for years, on and off, a 1 could yet no relief. I had seven tec i extracted (what a wrench 'those denti' s five us), one after the uther, but as so n as one waß out tho pain passed o another. I was given one of yo:.r Medical Guides, and there read theory that toothache is often a symptom of Amentia, and L had other igns which I found you mentioned as eiag the effects of atuoaiie conditions. 1 also read your boast of the wonderful effects of Clements Tonic ; I was sceptical, smiled and disbelioved, but thought a trial would do no harm, to sent for some, and in two days—Oh 1 joy, the pain was gone, I continue ' She Tonic, and am cured at las ; 1 never expected to be, but i i grateful enough to you, and you m- j use this if worth your while. And IV. . Whalley describes her case in the ■ s words:—Wagga Wagga, N.8.W., Ji.. . 12, 188 D. Your wonderful Tonic L.J done me more good than years of di >;• tor's treatment, and has restored mo • perfect health. For years I suffer from nervous debility and its usu;'. sting of accompanying ailments ; soi times I would be despondent and me. - choly, at others would have torturing neuralgia, or nervou& headac'ies ; sometimes I would be quite worn out, tired and weak, and unable to work. _ I awoke in the morning with tired, aching limbs, swollen feelings iu the eyes, as if they would burst, sometimes headaches and frequent nausea and vomiting of mucous-like green matter, and various unpleasant symptoms. Although prejudiced against proprietary medicines, I determined to try Clements Tonic and Dr Fletcher's Pills, I took two pills every alternate night, and a tablespoon ful of Clemonts Tonio an hour bcfo.e eaoh meal-time, and in three days I began to improve, and 4 ra n pw l well. I took seven large bottles ot Tonic and two boxes of pills ; my consumption is quite cured, and I feel stronger and healthier than eyer before. Further evidence can bo adduced to the above, which we think is conclusive.
