PAHIATUA NOTES.

Mr G. Bainton, of the West Village Settlement, broke bis leg pn Thursday. He was thrown down whilst milking a young cow, and the animal stepped on his leg. An entertainment in aid of the funds of the Pahiatua school will be given in the Public Hall on the gsth inst. The property of Mr J. Kibblewhite on the main road, has been sold at s satisfactory price. Bob Matthews, the light weight champion, is giving an exhibition of the pugilistic art oa Saturday next.

Bushfelling operations are about to begin again. Although the burns have been compnratively poor, work of demolition will not be muoh affeoted. ■•..
