GYMNASIUM CLUB.

A meeting of tbose interested in the formation of a Gymnasium Club waß held in the Drill Hall, Maiterton, on Saturday evening last. About twenty - five persons were present, Mr C. A. j Pownall occupying the chair.

It was resolved to form a Club to be known as the Mastcrton Gym* nasium.

The subscription was fixed at 7s 6d for the season, payable in advance. The following officers were eleotod \ President, Mr C. A. Pownall j VicePresidents, Rev. J. McKenna and Messrs C. E. Breoiner and R. S. Hirschberg; Captain, Mr R. Malcolm; Vice-Captain, Mr A. E. D'Arcy; Secretary and Treasurer, Mr C,

Perry; Committee of Management, Mssßrs Hanßen, Iggulden, Watson, Emmett, and the officers. It was decided to open the gymnasium four nights a week, Mondays, and Fridays being opeu nights, Tuesdays for the Star Football Club, and Wednesdays for the Mastertou Football Club. It wwas arranged that the whole of the gymnastic appliances used during the season be the property of the Volunteers.

The General Committee was authorrised to draw up any by-laws, rules, etc., necessary. It was decided to hold a costume football match at an early date, and also a concert in aid of the funds. The gymnasium will be opened on Friday evening next from eight o'clock till ten.
