F. H. WOOD'S STOCK SaLE BEPORT. Mr F. H. Wood report* of his Btoolc sale at the Taratahi yards yesterday as follows: The attendance of buyers was exceptionally large, many strangers no doubt beint( attracted by the sale of Mr Hume's horses. The yards were well filled with stock of . all classes, and the bidding was spirited throughout, last sale rates being fully maintained for sheep and cattle. Prices realised as follows : Sheep—Forward wethers, 18s; do ewes, 9s to Us lid ; ewes in lambi 8s to 12s 6d; store ewes, 7s to 9b ; ambs in tho wool, 8s to 8s lOd j do shorn, 6s 6d to 8s 9d. Merino ewes in lamb, 7d. Cattle—Calves, 15s to 255; yearlings, 30s to 375; 18 months to 2 years, 45s to 58s 6d; cows, fat, 78s to 955; ditto store 80s to 50s; do dairy 40s to 80s. Pigs—Weaners 4s 6d to 5s lid. Horses—Considerable interest -was taken in the sale of Mr P. Hume's horses, the bidding for which was spirited; nil selling with the exception of the grey gelding, full brother to " Nelson " which was passed in at ■ £29. Prices realised ranged from £l2 , to £B2, the latter figure being obtained for the well known hack " Nelson," purchased by Mr A. McKenzie. Several other horses on account of various vendors were also disposed of at from £7 to £l6.
