The Premier has replied to the - letter of the Eketahuna'Knights of Labour,. who recently forwarded to him a series of resolutions in favor of > the abolition of Customs duties on , the necessaries of life and the substU tionof a tax,on land: values for the property tax. Mr Balla'nce tells the. Knights he agrees to a large extent with their resolutions and says it ia only a question of a little time when they will no doubt be reduced to, practice. He expresses the that in the coming session Parha-' ment will proceed some distance at any rate in giving effeot to the spirit of the resolutions,
