The Eketahuna Club meets a team from the Opaki on its own ground this afternoon, We are informed there is no foundation fot the report that the Mastorton and Star Clubs intend amalgamating. \ The Maaterton Club expects to open the season proper with a match Oft Queen's Birthday with Wellington, <• Joe" Perry has recovered from his recent accident, and will take his [old place in the Masterton tcani from the opening match, The loss sustained by the transfer of Mowatt will ho made up by the addition of <« Bob Malcolm ' to the Masterton, Club. It is expected Wiat the 'contest for the Cup will this year be very exciting. Grey town has a stiong team*, but both the Stars and Masterton are sanguine of success,
