THE PHONOGRAPH.

Edison's wonderful phonograph or talking machine will be introduced to the Masterton public by Mr Macmahon on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The phonograph will be exhibited by Professor Archibald, who has brought the machine from America. The exhibitions throughout Australia and New Zealand have been remarkably sue-, cessful. The public will be afforded the novelty of hearing songs by Mr J. L. Toole and Nellie Stewart, speeches by Mr W. E. Gladstone, and instrumental and vocal music performed 111 Europe and America reproduced with the greatest fidelity.
