PAHIATUA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.) Easter Monday was observed here as a general holiday. The Juvenile Athletic Club held their first annual sports, and as the day was most delightful there was a very large attendance and all the events went off well. The onerous duoies of handicapper and starter were undertaken by Mr George Avery, who gave general satisfaction. Master Hamilton Moore is the Secretary of the infant institution and had his work well arranged. The youngsters ran well throughout and entered into all the events with great zest, They have lately been under heavy training and may be said to have shown fairly good form yesterday as the result of their efforts, Messrs Attwood and Noble have paid us a visit and showed their diorama for two nights to rather indifferent houses. Their evening's entertainment inoludeddioramic views of Stanley's last journey through Africa,
