SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
The usual monthly meeting of the Eketahuna School Committee was heldon Monday, March 16. Present Bayliss (chairman), Selby, NeiUoq, W, Bayliss, and Brenmuhl. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, The Chairman stated that the total liabilities amounted to £lO. Is 7d, no funds in band, There was wiiii. - • -•» towards the fence.

about raising funds to put up a gate, and it was resolved to leave the erection ot the gate in the hands of the Chairman. The Chairman stated that £4 5s 9d was due on the 15th inst., which would make the liabilities over £l4. But against that there was the capitation of £6. Mr Brenmuhl: That looks bad. Mr Bennett stated that he had received the Indian clubs, poles, etc, for the school. As this was all the general business the meeting went into Committee to discuss ways and mean".
