MEMORIAL TO MR. BUNNY.

Featherston, Monday,
A meeting was held at the Town Board office, Featherston, on Saturday night to consider what steps should be taken to perpetuate the memory of the late Mr Bunny. There was a good representative attendance, Mr Methane occupying the chair. After a few observations from the chairman as to the object cf the meeting, Mr Monckton moved the following resolution, which was seconded by Mr J. G. Cox and carried: "That a monument suitably inscribed be erected to the memory of the late Mr Bunny." Mr W. Cundy moved and Mr Riddick seconded, " That the following gentlemen should act as a local general committee: — Messrs Monckton, Beynolds, A. Donald, W. Cundy, A. McKenzie, J. G. Cox, Toogood, Matthews, Butcher, Jas. Smith, McShane, Riddick, A. Wilkinson, W. Bidwell, Spearink, J. Donald, Hodder senior, Gilpin, Barton, Keys, Buckeridge, W, Burt, Porritt, Wallace, Bethune, iiutton, Pharazyn, F. Burt, T. Benton, W, 0. Williams, Jos, Cundy, Murphy, T. Benton senior, Bock, Bunyard, Dunn, John Cundy, Pilmer, W. Benton, Bale, Fife, Good, Fry, C. Cundy, Cadenhead, and Beckett, with power to add to their number. It was resolved that the Secretary communicate with the Mayors of the townships in the Wairarapa, Mr. E. T. Gillon (Wellington and the Hutt), and Mr. G. Pain (Martinborough), inviting their co-operation in the movement. Mr. R. A. Butcher was appointed Secretary, The general local committee meet at the Road Board Office, Featherston, on Wednesday evening at 7.30 p.m.
