PAHIATUA.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
Mr E, Naylor has withdrawn from bis candidature in the Licensing Commissioners' election.
Owing to a split in the Cabinet, General and Mrs Mite did not show in the Public Hall on Friday. The Grecian Illusionist performed his magic tricks over again, but with alike variety, and Miss Beaumont the double voiced vocalist, made up the rest of the company. It is with regret I chronicle the death of the infant son of Mr C. Benzie, of the Temperance Hotel. Quite a large number of land seekers are in the district at present.
