The Auckland Hospital. inquiry was re-commenced yesterday, but after tho hearing of evidence was adjourned till Baturday. On the 17th ot Maroh (St Patrick's Day) the Catholic picnio and sports will be held in the Masterton Park. In the evening a prand vocal and instrumental concert will be given, in >'the Theatre Royal by Miss MoLean, a talented Wellington amateur, and her pupils.
Dobson Kennedy Dramatic Company are being well receivod down south. A privato wire from Blenheim says;— "Colleen Bawn" was put on last night, the audienoe being the largeit ever seen in Bjenheim."
The annual District meeting of tho Manchester Unity of Oddfellows was held at W Ellington yesterday. Master* ton was represented by Mr." T! Jago, P. G.; Carterton by M*. G. Bowles, P, G.; Greyto vn by Mr. D. P Loaabv, P. P. G. M.; and Eketahune by 'Mr. O. Nordell, P. G. It was resolved.that tho next annual meeting be held at Carter* ton in February, 1892. A proposal from lfit Eketahuna lodge regarding expenses of deputies was held over.
