ROYAL DRAMATIC CO.

XTadertlxs .British-Flag-

fen The performance of the sensational drama, "Under the British Flag" by thejßoyal Dramatic Company in the Theatre Boyal last evening was highly successful. The audience, if not exceptionally large, was particularly demonstrative, and the Company must have been flattered at the reception they again received. "Under the British Fhg," whilst it does not possess that emotional which is a characteristic of the piece staged on Monday evening, is full of stirring events,'and keeps the audience interested from beginning to end. The various characters in the piece were ably presented last night by this Company, and the whole plot was carried out without a hitch, Mr H-. N. Douglas -was again a prominent figure of the piece, and was ably assisted by Mr Alfred Woods, Miss Austen Eliot and Miss Amy Coleman. Mr C. E. Searle, as "Fred Faggles," the eccentric clerk, kept things lively throughout, and to him a credit for the success of the piece. Altogether the performance was one of the most pleasing ever witnessed In Masterton. The concluding performance of the company will be given this evening when "Dora" and "The Major" will be presented. The entertainment will be under the patronage of his worship the Mayor and other distinguished personages.
