CRICKET.

Greytown v Oartorton.

This match resulted in a win for Carterton by one run and sis wickets, after a most exciting game. Grey town went first to the wioketsand knocked up 58 runs, Brunton heading the score with 18, Fred Hawke coming next with 9 not out. Beechey was the most successful bowler for Carterton, taking six wickets. McKenzie and Booth took two each. Cartertoq then began their first iuninga and were all out for 52, one run behind their opponents. The tap score, 16, was made by Harry Hawke, (a Greytown player), Nicholson following him with 11. Bowling honors for Greytown were divided between J Judd and E Uily. It was half past five when Greytown went to the wickets for their second innings, and were all out in half an hour for 88 runs, the wickets failing very quickly before the bowling of Harry" Hawke and McKenzio, Webster and G Jackson were the nl'y- batsmen to
