"Wesleyan church, Eketahuna.

The Anniversary services in connection with the above church took place on Sunday last, when, notwithstanding tbe inclemency of tho weather, good congregations were present. Mr J. Bamber, of Masterton, wa* the preacher, and gave two powerful discourses. The children of the , Sunday school, helped rendered hymns from Hosannas and Sankey's very effectively. On Tuesday evening - the public meeting took place iu church, Mr I. Bayliss in tbe chaff^i when instead of the usual tea taeet- ; ing a coffee supper was provide*!, and / during an interval in the proceedings l was dispensed by Mrs Jones, asaisted by several ladies of the conei*gation. Jjn The report and balance Bheefc' shewed that this was the second anniversary of the church, that the income from all sources for the yea r , o ted , l ,° m7B 7d ' expenditure *oo 18s Id, balance in hand £5 9s 6d, amounts, still owing to Loan fund £B6, land £2O ; total indebtedness, £56. Interesting addresses were given by the Rev W Itowse and W. Bayliss, who moved a vote of thank? to nil who had contributed towards the success of the Anniversary, and a very pleasant meeting was brought to a close. ■,. Regret was expressed that the young minister had not arrived, and it was announced that- on Sunday next the pulpit would be occupied by the minister, the Rev. W. Rowso
