Mr Bany O'Brien, Mr ParnoH's nominee for the Kilkenny seat, has withdrawn from tho contest, and Mr Vincent Scully replaces him, Before leaving Dublin for Cork Mr Parnell re-entered the office of the United Ireland and smashed % doors. '■ •■■•.-' 'The residences of (hose members p,f {l(6 Irish Parliamentary party who have seceded from Parnell are guarded by police. Messrs Dillon and O'Brien have issued a fresh attack on the Liberal Unionist party. Their manifesto claims that the righteousness of the Irish, policy has been fully vindicated. Mr Gladstone, speaking at Worksop, said he was'immovable in his resolution.not to co-operate again with Mr Parnell, Parnell wW oonfer with O'Brien in Paris in regard to the present' orisis, and it is hoped a compromise will bo effected. The clergy in Ireland are destroyingposters which have been issued by the Parnell section. M. Davitf is assisting Sir John Pope Hennessey's oandjdatao for the North Kilkenny seat.
