The monthly meeting of the above Board was held on Saturday. Present —Mossrs Matheson, (chair) Neilson, Fogden, Anderson hnd'Dowsett, The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed,
Correspondence, From Charles Monegau, drawing the Bbard's attention to their neglect to complete agreement, thereby causing him to lose, tho time required to get his bush fell, Resolved, that tho Commissioner of Crown Land, be written to, to effect a transfer of tho Land between tho Board and Mr Monegan and that Mr Monegan be written to to tlmt effect. From Bank of New Zealand, acknowledging receipts of amounts paid into Board's accounts, From Colonial Secretary, ro Loans to Local Bodies Act; From F, W, Barratid, re revision of thirds, From Mr Marchant, re roads in Hutt township. From J. B. Haywardß, ro payments. From Now Zealand Survey Department, ..ro Monegan's section, enclosing plan of same. From Bank of Now Zealand re moneys teceived on Board's account, _ From Mr MoNulty teroad through hissectiou, _ I From B Morris, re central road, Parkville, A very insulting letter was read by j the chairman from Mr Johnsburg, accusing the Board of spending money I ilegally, by favouritism, etc, and setting forth that he had no confidence in the Board. The letter was closely written on eight pages, Tho chairman said this was tho most, insulting letter he had ever road.. He did not know what the others thought of it, but for his part rather than accept such a lotter he would resign his position on the Board. .
Conaiderablo discussion ensued oyor the letter, It was explained that tho'full amouftt of the loan had been sjiqqt on that part of Parkville complained of by 'Mr Johnsburg, The Clerk mentioned that there waa only £BO left of Parkville loan after contracts now in hand are provided for, and that the amount ia hand 1 belonged to the Parkville township, It was resolved that the Parkville question bo adjourned to a meeting to beheld on Friday, December Uth, TENDERS. Valley road formation,—Shehyn & Co,, 5a Cd per chain. As there was ouly one tender received for this work, Mr Sliehyn's tender was declined, ' Contract No. 4, Mangaone rp(?f| formation, 39chains.-Olsen aiirl £74 (accepted); Kellitieiy £ll3 7s j Holmes k Co., (per chttiu) £2 2a, • Gkhbbai. " Mr Faulkner waited on the Board re undersfriibbing the road line through his block, as the bustTwas foiled and lie wished to burn.
