Yesterday's election passed off very quietly in Greytown, not much excitement being shown until 0 o'clock, when a large assombly gathered around the Post Oflloo and Court House. Feoblo attempts were made to cheer the candidates when the poll was made known. The Standard office was the oentre attraction. A cartoon representing the troublesome rabbit being exhibited'much to the- satisfaction of the Buchananites, Mr Grigg [superintended a lunch at the Foresters Hall, when the Buchananites discussed the events of the day while the free • and independent: electors who appoved of the views of Mr Bunny attended to their creature comforts at Mr 0. W. Hornblow's establishment.
