INQUEST AT ALFREDTON.
[By Telegraph.] (Our Own Correspondent.) Eketaiiusa, Tuesday. An inquest was held at Alfredtoo yesterday by Mr You Bedin, acting coroner, on the body of a man found in the Almrua river, Alfredton, There was no evidence as to who the deceased was. Constable Scott considered that from the state of the body, which was much decomposed, the deceased /met his death .three weeks ago. He found the body partly covered with water. The banks of the creek where the body was found were very, steep, It was impossible to tel| jjow lie iiiot with bis death, The witness had searched the body, and found no money, papers or anything valuable, nor anything with which to identify the deceased, The following verdict was returned by the jury"That the deceased was found dead in the Aharua ri?er, but that there was nothing to show who the deceased was or how he met his death," The body will be brought to Eketalnma to-day for burial.
