EDUCATION BOARD.
The ordinary monthly mooting of the Wellington Education Board was " held at the Board's offices yesterday morning, the members present being Messrs J, R. Blair (chairman), J " Young, and P. H, Fraser, a bare quorum. s ~ On the suggestion of the Chairman it was resolved to allow. a communication from the Education Depart- • # ment re the good attendance certifi- ifc cates to stand over until next meeting ■ of the Board. 'V: The following resignations were ** accepted-Kate Brann, pupil teacher', ' Uareville; Minnie Laran, Voral." town ;F. Fairbrother, Terrace. was roooived from a builder at Featheraton, stating the repairs necessary to tho teacher's resideuoe there were acknowledged. It was resolved to call for tenders :to provide additional accommodation " at the Taitai school, for fencing the sohool ground at Shaunon, and for ' covering Opaki school with iron. The sum of £SO was granted for a sohool at Kereru, subject to the approval of the Inspector. It was decided to hold the next • meeting of the Board on Deoember 10, and the meeting adjourned.
