STOATS AND WEASELS.

[By Telegraph.] (United Press Association.) Dunedin, Friday. At a meeting of the Acclimatisation Society, it was decided to protest strongly against the Government in any way encouraging the further spread of stoats and weasels; which destroyed native birds, and also to request the Government to take steps to protect the native birds in all islands in the Sounds of the West Coast, making their destruction illegal.
