Slyvo and Lavrton's Surprises. H*. • A good audience greeted the above Company on their first appearance in Masterton on Tuosday evening, i The Company is a strong one, and as i tho entertainment was varied, none could fail to appreciate it. The peri formanco was commenced with an i overture on tho piano by Mr W. B. Gray, which was played in a devM a style. His j balancing powers are extraordinary, 1 and the manner in which he handled t blooks of wood, plates, .lamps, etc, 1 was marvellous and-worth the prico ! of admission in itself, In Mr Alf s Lawton is combined fascination witter' , wit and humor, and his "funn/- ,- ositieß" last night elicited roars of i, laughter.
