The game was exceedingly i fast throughout,', and resulted in a '. victory for Taraunki by seven points 1 to three, For the winnerß Bayly, Malcolm and Heniptbn got tries, one ' of which was converted. Sangster I also placed a goal from a free kick. I Watson ; scored tor the visitors, and < Thompson placed a magnificent goal 1 from r -a veryi difficult angle. The local forwards wore far too strong for < Wairarapa forwards, but the Wai- i rarapa backs, contrary to expectations, more than held their own against \ Taranaki. ■ i
