ROAD BOARD.
The ordinary monthly, meeting of. the Taratahi-Carterton Road Board was held on Saturday. PresentMessrs H. R, Bunny (Ohairman), J, Bajner, E, W, Dorset, G. W. Deller, Jas. Stevens, H. Braithwaito, E. Morgan, W. B. Allen and N. Graoo,
Tbo minutes of the previous meeting were read and oontirmed.
The Treasurer reported an overdraft at the bank of £4lolos Bd.
The Clerk reported that about £3OO of the County rates had been paid.
CORRESPONDENCE. From A. Moody re the overhanging trees on tlio road leading to his place, The Wardon, stated that there was no immediate danger. The matter was loft to the Warden. •

Zabelle, dfferinc;- a piece of land to the' Board'for the sum of £2O for a;gravel .pit., Moved by Mr G, W, Deller, seconded by Mr Stevens, thai'the' offer be accepted,' From Ferry Bros., asking to be allowed to ereot a gate on the Waingawa.
