MASTERTON-OPAKI JOCKEY CLUB.

A meeting of the Stewards of the Masterton-Opaki Jockey Club" was held in the Club Hotel on Saturday. evening last, Mr T Chamberlain jn the chair,

The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed, A communication was received from the Stewards of the North Wairarapa Hack Baoing Club, handing over £3O for the purpose of improving and repairing the racecourse.

The Chairman said lio considered such a gift very satisfactory, and a vote of thanks was passed to the donors.

Mr W Sellar wrote, resigning his position as Secretary to the Club, owing to business preventing him giving that attention to the ofQoe which was required, . The resignation was received with regret, «nd a vote of thanks passed to Mr Sellar for his past services. , ' It was decided to call for applications for ■ the office of Secretary before the annual meeting.

A recommendation was made thai at the annual meeting three deben' tures bo disposed of by ballot. The meeting then adjourned.
