Transfers shoujd not be ' granted until impravemenis havebeeu i effected, The letter was approved. It was resolved to withdraw- the unsold sections adjacent to Cross' 1 Creek, and re-offer them at prices of , 10s and 15s per acre under the Act of i £IBB7. It was decided to-rescind i the cancellation of section 26, .'block ' 11, Mangaone, and' to give the . selector threo months to make his . payment in., The:.Under-Secretary i for Crown Lands wrote stating there is no power to reduce the price of i seotion 57, block. 10, Pohangina, , ; recently purchased by auction by i Messrs G Palmer and F Freeman, i Mc T Walker applied for "four months'time to effect improvements , 1 on seotion 99, block 8, Mangahao. It was decided, that the selection of H Axup should be cancelled if the ' selector does not reside mi the land within a month and pay tho amount | in arrears. The Surveyor-General | wrote stating that there was no funds j available for felling the bush on the ] Lovin township. It was resolved to ] place tho necessary funds on the , estimates. _ It was resolved (on the 1 consideration of the ranger's report), ( to' call upon tho selectors in the r Tiriraokawa, Pohangina, and West t Waitapu blocks, who are in arrears c with their improvements, to show t cause why their interests should not c oo forfeited. The Board considered t the ranger's report for the year I ending 31st December, 1889, from 1 which it appeared that 765 holding ? were inspected, comprising. 92,410 t acreß, Six hundred and forty-eight t selectors brought into cultivation ut 18,285 acres at a cost of £83,051, { tho area required to be cultivated being 8850 acres at a value of Jj21,437. The Pahiatna - County Council applied for a certificate i to enable them to pay interest on a -\j loan from thirds accruing from certain / sections in their district. The 'application was granted. The Board I approved of tlio proposal! and plana ; jot tho Alfredton Eoad Board for i expending accrued thirds on flections vr in their district, ...(Similar proposals from tho Kiwitea Boad Board, and tho Matorca Road-Board wore also, approved, Tho Commissioner laid upon the table a return showing land thrown opan, tho arrear and the - numher of< applications received during the year ending 30th June, 1890, the number of selections' on the book, payments in arrear, &c.
